Piano Lessons
I am a member of UMTA in good standing and place an emphasis on training the well-rounded musician. Students will have access to Performance evaluations, USU Youth Conservatory concerts and Piano Fest, and Achievement in Music.
I use the Bastien and Suzuki Methods for beginning through intermediate piano students. In addition to studying their method books, piano students will prepare solos and perform them in recital. Students will also prepare other music that interests them.
Group Musicianship Classes
Students will visit the piano lab at USU and attend group class on designated days to learn and review musical concepts such as ear training and music theory, music history, and performance. I use the Youth Conservatory/MTNA all-access pass Achievement in Music Syllabus as a basis for these classes.
